PLATINUM & PALLADIUM BARS

Argentor does not offer platinum and palladium bars by default because they are not the most appealing product for private customers. Namely because you have to pay 21% VAT since they are not considered as an investment tool, but as raw material. For private customers this makes platinum and palladium bars less interesting because they will not be able to withdraw the VAT.

Also, the selling premiums on platinum and palladium bars are considerably higher than premiums on gold bars, resulting in a selling price that, in combination with the VAT, is often almost twice the actual value.

PLATINUM & PALLADIUM IN PLATE + PLATINUM SOLDER

Argentor sells the primary precious metals you will need as a goldsmith or jeweller to create and/or repair jewellery. Not only can you buy fine platinum and palladium in plate, we also offer platinum solder in 1 hardness number: PT3. Platinum & palladium in plate & platinum solder are not suitable investment tools! Just like the bars and coins, you must pay 21% VAT because platinum & palladium in plate and platinum solder are not seen as an investment but as raw material. On top of that it can prove to be quite difficult to resell platinum and palladium in those forms.

You can order platinum and palladium starting from a minimum weight of 10 grams.

Platinum solder can neither be ordered online, nor in grams! We cut our solder in strips of +/- 2 grams. You can only order platinum solder in combination with other metals and / or solder starting from a combined minimum weight of 10 grams. These orders are best placed by telephone or e-mail.

Orders < 10 grams are neither accepted online, nor by telephone or e-mail. You are, of course, always welcome in our office to buy your supplies directly at the counter.
